Take Advantage of Opportunity

Every day we’re faced with thousands of opportunities. Opportunities to make decisions that usually take place in a split-second. Ultimately, what we do with these opportunities determines what our life looks like.

Many of these decisions may seem trivial in the moment, but as we look back on things in retrospect we can see how the decisions we made in some of those everyday opportunities led to life changing outcomes in our future.

Don’t take any situation for granted. Don’t miss the chance to make the right decision during an opportunity.

I can think back to the decision to make some random cold calls that led to my first internship. I could have easily decided that I didn’t feel like calling people I didn’t know that day and dealing with the rejection that comes along with calling strangers. Fortunately, I did make those calls that day. Not everyone was receptive on the phone, but one person was and that opportunity led to another opportunity. I’m thankful that it worked out and glad I didn’t let that specific opportunity pass by.

There are countless examples I can think of where small decisions led to big results. We never know when that may be the case, so I would encourage you to remember that every decision counts. Take advantage of opportunity.
